Sun Communities is currently searching for an ASP Developer to join our Software Development Team in Southfield, MI. As an ASP Developer, you will develop enhancements and customizations within Sun’s web-based production systems using ASP and MS SQL Server technologies. Incumbent will work as part of a team and participate in Sun’s proprietary Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes. We are looking for candidates with US Citizenship and Green Card. Sponsorship not is available for this opportunity.
This is a full time and Direct Hire role in Southfield, MI
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Code, debug, document and support web-based applications consistent with established processes, specifications, standards and business requirements.
Work with team members (IT, business, and 3rd party personnel) to create functional specifications and supporting artifacts including but not limited to use cases, context, sequence and database schema diagrams in support of business requirements.
Create Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 database scripts to be used for reporting.
Actively participate in functional specification & design review sessions with team members and peers; present ideas and solution proposals, adapt as necessary based on feedback, and communicate resulting changes.
Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and interpret business requirements to clarify project objectives.
Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections.
Document unit test plans; completes unit testing successfully.
Create manuals and/or training aids for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
Plan, implement, and support systems in a complex environment, and set and manage priorities.
Comprehend complex, technical subjects while translating technical language to non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
3-5 years of Classic ASP or programming experience.
In-depth knowledge of systems design and development processes, including requirements analysis, software design, programming, unit testing and deployment.
Excellent knowledge of ASP and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 programming concepts and techniques.
Ability to use CASE Tools in the design and implementation of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 database tables and objects.
Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to write and execute database queries and create database objects (stored procedures, tables, triggers, etc.).
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 or later.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFFERED:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
