Major Job Duties Include: Application engineer for recently awarded Rear View Camera business. * Determine, based on well established criteria, the positions and angles of the camera in the vehicle. * Devise camera attachment methods. * For each new vehicle platform determine, manage and release the imager register settings. * Perform system validation testing on bucks or vehicles. * Participate in or organize vehicle test trips (hot & cold test, altitude test). * Present test results to the customer and compile reports. * As part of CMMI activities, manage customer requirements. * Responsible for the system requirements and their linking to other activities (HW, SW, test plan).
Minimum Requirements Include: * BSEE or equivalent. * 5+ years of automotive engineering experience. * Knowledge of vehicle networking (CAN/LIN). * Software programming (embedded or object oriented) exposure. * Capable of reading and comprehending electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. * Hands-on (mechanical or electrical) type of experience.
Desired: * Knowledge of Vector tools such as CANape, CANoe. * Knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCad, Catia, UG, SDRC). * Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS). * Knowledge of LabView.
