We are seeking a Coordinating Producer - Events to be responsible for assisting the Executive Producer in various aspects of the function, primarily related to live remote event programming. This position is located in Southfield, MI.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact person with employees and freelance crews and talent; interfacing with Production, Programming and Sales to ensure all programming is added to the schedule, and all sales elements are communicated and executed properly.
Produce needed documents for regional events and work with the Executive Producer to schedule producer, director, schedule crews and talent for events; assist with various budget related duties, and or invoice review/approvals.
Handle assigned event production duties, organize show review meetings and conference calls; assist EP in the evaluation of shows and show personnel.
Assist EP in the coordination and creative development of the Production department, especially towards strong story lines and storytelling.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 year experience in live event/ news production and technical operations is necessary. Experience with production budgets is helpful.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
Good organizational and project management skills are necessary.
A demonstrated ability work under limited supervision in a high pressure environment is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
The ability to operate studio and remote production equipment may be required.
Experience with linear and non-linear editing equipment is preferred.
Must be a strong generator of game/event related story ideas, and storytelling.
Must have demonstrated ability work under limited supervision in a high pressure environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
The ability to operate studio and remote production equipment is required.
Must be willing to travel often and attend live sports events.
Must have experience in the full use of current production equipment, linear and non-linear formats; strong knowledge of edit facilities and inner workings of HD remote production facilities.
