The Director of Sales provides leadership to remote sales team in achieving Warn sales revenue targets. The overall goal and indicator for success will be growing Warn market share and revenues while retaining key and quality OEM, industrial and military customer relationships. Reporting directly to the VP Global Sales, this position is directly responsible for Sales team strategy development & execution, revenue achievement and marketplace feedback to the product/market management, engineering and production functions at WARN. Provides market intelligence on global channel developments and changes, market, customer and leading industry trends and needs to Warn Management, Business Development, Engineering and Production partners. Develops and maintains an effective organization plan for the implementation of the sales effort with measures defined and reported. Responsible for leading sales forecasting process driving consistent, accurate data, used for monthly, quarterly and annual planning activities. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the OEM, Industrial and Military sales force to obtain maximum sales volume and develop maximum potential volume from all markets for OEM, industrial and military products. Responsible for constantly improving the organization's competitive position in sales. Ensures maximum sales volume at minimum cost by actively managing sales force and budgets.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in engineering or business. MBA preferred. Ten or more years progressive, successful, experience in the OEM, industrial and military markets, product development and sales which includes at least five years of experience managing a technical sales team. Experience demonstrating strong judgment, business acumen and ability to anticipate business and customer needs. Successful experience in collaboratively developing products with market partners. Tier 1 automotive sales experience is preferred. Global sales experience is preferred.
