Technical Accounting Manager - IFRS
The Technical Accounting Manager -- IFRS is responsible for researching and evaluating the appropriate accounting treatment and providing technical accounting guidance and support for Chrysler Group LLC and subsidiaries on various complex accounting areas under IFRS, such as revenue recognition, multiple element arrangements, leases and embedded leases, variable interest entities, etc. Prepare technical accounting position papers for significant business transactions and commercial contracts. Coordinate reviews with internal management and external auditors. Monitor the activities of the IASB in relation to and prepare white papers on the implications of the proposed IFRS accounting standards on Chrysler. Coordinate the implementation of new IFRS accounting guidance. Communicate identified issues, new accounting impacts and other matters to senior management of both Chrysler Group and Fiat. Prepare and give on the job training to others within the Accounting Research and Corporate Accounting teams. Handle special projects and technical accounting research on various topics, as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA or MBA • Minimum of seven years of relevant work experience, including public accounting experience with analytical accounting research • Practical application and use of US GAAP
Preferred Requirements:
• Masters in Accountancy or Finance • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite • Audit experience • Experience with SOX and internal controls
• Strong written and oral communication skills • Solid leadership experience managing projects, leading cross-functional teams and accountability for getting things done • Experience with IFRS
